The Famas
The Famas is a great gun in both games, even though the companies had different views of the gun they both ended well. In Modern Warfare 2, the Famas was a gun that fired in bursts of three rounds, comparable to the M16(A1) of Black Ops. It had a shorter delay between bursts and did less damage, so I guess you could have said that it was the G11 of Modern Warfare 2. In Black Ops, the Famas had greatly changed. It was no longer the burst fire gun that the community had loved, It was even better than that. Treyarch decided to make the Famas a fully automatic gun. This Famas was great because it had what the other lacked, which was close range power. The other great part about Treyarchs Famas was that it still had a VERY high fire rate, comparable to some Submachine Guns. In my opinion, the Famas made by Treyarch looked nicer and was easier to use, plus it fit into my Submachine gun rushing tactics really well.

The M16a4 and a1
First things first, I'm going to say that the M16A1 is essentially the same as the the M16A4, but the M16A4 was just a newer model. The M16A1 from Black Ops is what I'm going to start this comparison with: The M16(A1) is a great gun, that was both beginner friendly, intermediate friendly and expert friendly alike. It kept its three round burst in this game, unlike the Famas. It had an upwards recoil pattern, unlike its Modern Warfare 2 variant, that would tend to give you headshots if you shot the enemies in their stomachs. The M16A4 in Modern Warfare 2 was also a great gun, though it fit the role of a sniper more easily, because of its recoil pattern not being as bad. Even though it wasn't able to get recoil headshots like its variant, it was still an awesome gun. I have to say that I used both of these guns evenly, and I liked them evenly.
The AK47
In both games, this gun was absolutely AWESOME, even though Infinity Ward annoyed everyone by putting this weapon high up at level 70 (In Modern Warfare 2), which is the last level, it was still a blast to use. This gun featured strange swaying when it had anything attached but the ACOG scope, and while this sway wasn't much, it annoyed me greatly. The Black Ops variant however, featured no swaying, but instead it featured tremendous upwards recoil, which was even WORSE than the sway. Honestly, I enjoyed the AK47 in Black Ops more because of it's one hit kill capability in Hardcore mode, where I played most of my matches.
That's it for today, and for the record, the reason this post is in the past tense is because this year Modern Warfare 3 is going to stores!!!
