Today I'm going to be talking about Black Ops, again. This post will be about something different... The First Strike map pack! I will post my opinions and stuff on the map pack, as well as whether it's worth buying or not... Here goes!

The First Strike map pack is a map pack for the game Call of Duty: Black Ops. It features four multiplayer maps as well as one zombie map: Ascension. The multiplayer maps are: Discovery, Berlin Wall, Stadium and Kowloon. These new maps feature interactive parts, and here I'm going to give a summary of each map.

• Discovery is a large snowy map with a ton of vertical gameplay, because the buildings have multiple floors. This map features ice bridges that break under too much damage. Once destroyed, it isn't impossible to get to the other side, but it makes getting there a whole lot more irritating (you have to jump). Weapons I prefer to use on this map are submachine guns if you're going to stay close to the buildings, sniper rifles if you're going to stay inside and assault rifles in general. I wouldn't recommend light machine guns because you may need to run to cover quickly because of the huge lines of sight.
• Berlin Wall is another large map, which is set in Berlin in winter. It features no mans land, which is indicated in red on your radar. If you enter no mans land, auto turrets will start shooting at you, which doesn't normally end well unless you have a Willy Pete or Marathon pro and Lightweight. The no mans land is what separates the two sides of the map, with some safe paths through no mans land. There isn't really a type of gun that has an advantage, though shotguns as usual have a disadvantage. This is by far my favorite map.
• Stadium is part of the inside + the outside of a hockey stadium. Go figure. It doesn't really feature anything interactive, but for some reason everybody picks this map. Submachine guns, assault rifles and light machine guns have the advantage on this map, while sniper rifles and shotguns are just a tiny bit behind.
• Kowloon is, well a part of Hong-Kong... It's a large map, but It doesn't look large because of all the buildings blocking your view. This map features ziplines, the fastest way to cross this map. When going to use the zipline, look both ways before using it because you're vulnerable during your descent. This map is cool, but there are many campers here, the recommended weapon here would be a fully automatic assault rifle.

Well, there's only one thing left.. ASCENSION!!! It's an awesome zombie map where you play in a Russian cosmodrome and fight zombies, as well at the replacement for hellhounds... ZOMBIE ASTRONAUT MONKEYS!!! It's a really fun map which adds lots of new stuff such as PhD Flopper, a perk that does damage when you dolphin dive, and Stamin-Up, a perk that works like Marathon (without the pro) and lightweight (without the pro) together. It also features landers, which are quick transportation through the map, but I'm not going to ruin any more of the fun for you.

Overall, the First Strike map pack is fun, and if you play zombies a ton, Ascension will be a great addition, though the multiplayer maps need some improvement.That's it for now, see you guys later!
